The new cool-store rooms.
By using oversized cooler equipment the average outflow temperature of
the units is much higher than in the old situation. We expect an airflow of
maximum -3 a -4 degrees instead of -7 (!) in the past. This will avoid a huge
part of the dehydration in the coolers. Besides this, all the units are equipped
with continuously variable fans. If the optimum temperature is reached, the fans will
turn down to 40% of the maximum capacity without losing their pressure. A
smooth fresh breeze will be the result which avoid any peak in
temperature. In the past the fans were 'on' or 'off' and after the ‘off’ period the
units always gave full capacity to bring the temperature on the desired
level. Cooling down those peaks costs energy and gave extra dehydration of the bulbs.

We are working hard to create new cool-storage facilities. The new facility will give us more efficiency and will provide us improved track, trace and long term storage control.
